The
Complexity of B-Vitamin's
by Paula Muran
Vitamins
are natural nutrition we get from the foods we eat. They are
essential to a healthy body. More so than ever our nutritional
factors in foods and our ability to obtain them from foods is
becoming more difficult and less effective.
The
family of B vitamins is essential to our body’s ability to
metabolize food on a daily basis. Plus B-vitamins help restore
wellness to the entire system by reducing chemicals in the body.
Here is some helpful information:
B-1
Thiamine—Is destroyed by heat. It is needed to metabolize
carbohydrates or healthy muscles, it helps reduce stress, improves
digestion and assimilation, helpful for lactation and fertility,
perseveres the health of the nervous system and heart and provides
energy. Processed foods, antibiotics and other medications deplete
levels.
B-2
Riboflavin—Needed to
metabolize protein, fats and carbohydrates, for cell respiration,
necessary for the formation of red blood cells and antibodies,
good for vision, promotes healthy skin, nails and hair, aids
growth and reproduction and reduces stress.
B-3
Niacin—Assists in the
metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, necessary for the
health of the skin and tongue, essential for the body’s ability
to produce cortisone, thyroxine, insulin and male and female sex
hormones, necessary for healthy brain and nervous system function
and reduces cholesterol. Fatigue and sleeplessness can be a
sign of a Niacin deficency.
B-5
Pantothenic Acid—Destroyed
by heat. Essential for the conversion of carbohydrates, fats and
proteins into energy, helps the body fight infections and disease,
vital for the proper functioning of the adrenal glands, used in
the production of antibodies and protects against cell damage from
radiation. Produced
in the body by the beneficial bacteria in the intestines.
B-6
Pyridoxine—Destroyed
by heat. Assures proper balance in the blood, needed for the
absorption of B-12, promotes healthy skin, teeth, muscles and
nerves, needed for the absorption of sodium and phosphorus and
helps to maintain the balance of sodium and potassium, which
regulates body fluids.
B-12 Cyano-Cobalamin—Destroyed by
heat. Promotes cell
growth, increases energy, helps prevent anemia, regenerates red
blood cells, helps iron function better, helps heal canker sores,
maintains a healthy nervous system, necessary for the metabolism
of fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Helps to improve
concentration, balance and memory.
Biotin—Essential
in the formation of nucleic acids of DNA and RNA, helps the liver
produce lipids and converts food into energy, helps prevent
exhaustion, eases muscle pain, aids in utilizing protein, folic
acid, pantothenic acid and B-12.
Helps prevent baldness. Is produced in the intestines.
Choline—Necessary
in maintaining the functioning of the liver and kidneys, helps
control blood pressure and cholesterol, helps to maintain healthy
nerves, assists the release of poisons from the liver, aids in the
prevention of gall stones. Can be produced by the intestines.
Folic
Acid—Necessary for proper brain function, essential for
emotional and mental health, helps prevent anemia, good for
lactation, promotes healthy skin, aids the liver and protein
metabolism, enhances circulation and the digestive tract.
Insoitol—Important
for the proper function of the brain, heart, liver, kidneys and
eyes, promotes healthy hair and reduces cholesterol. Helps to
prevent hardening of the arteries and helps the cells in bone
marrow.
PABA—Helps
maintain the natural color of hair. Helps the body produce folic
acid, and healthy skin, aids in cell production and protein
metabolism.

My
favorite brand of B-Vitamins is Source Naturals.
They have revolutionized the way B’s are used in our
system.
In order for our bodies to utilize the vitamins in our
foods they must survive the journey through our digestive track
and this is only partial absorption. All supplements must pass
though the liver to be metabolized for the body.
They must first be converted into a coenzyme for the body
to use.
With today’s eating styles and stress most everyone’s
liver is toxic to some degree or the other. With the liver already
burdened, supplements tax the system even more.
Along
with CoQ10, B-Vitamins in their coenzyme forms are necessary for
energy production, clarity and well-being.
Source Naturals makes a Coenzyme B Complex in a sublingual
form that works immediately.
