Become a Practical Master
by Paula Muran
Most
people today have a preconceived idea that to be enlightened we
must be holy, have a different persona and not participate in
today’s world. I sense this comes from clergy or the Bible or
other books. What makes the Pope, Mother Teresa, Ammachi or the
Dalai Lama holy?
Since
these people don't live in the states or the western world we
really don't know what they do away from people. Maybe the Dalai
Lama plays video games on his computer or the Pope has the
newsiest IPOD. The point being is that we tend to put spiritual
masters on pedestals. This prevents us from attaining whatever we
think they have.
There
are many enlightened people all around us. But with any
preconceived idea we miss them. I bet you would not recognize
Jesus if he walked up to you and gave you a hug? Perhaps if he
came dressed or spoke in a certain way you might.
Do you expect
something different from enlightened people? Recently a client
wanted to know where he was on his ascension path. Ascension is
another word for enlightenment as is self-realization. I thought
it was an odd question to ask. We, all (anyone on a spiritual
path) are on a path to becoming self-realized. That is exactly
what spirituality is all about—knowing the self
(self-realization). When we make something different or call it
by a certain name we give that concept more power either judging
it or creating a chance to fail. For example, by saying, “I’m on
an ascension path” this could make that person feel more
powerful and loose the effectiveness of the process. Or it could
produce failure when they don’t meet expectations. Everyone on a
spiritual path is also on a path of self-realization
(enlightenment or ascension).
What
exactly is enlightenment? Sanatkumara explains it as, en-ligh-en-ment
is merely allowing-the-light-in. When we are burdened by fear,
anger, hurt feelings, disproval and other limiting aspects of
fear—they clutter our minds and take up space. I term this
emotional debris. In the guided meditation,
Purify the Body
Temple, we teach a process to en-lighten to the higher
Self and sustain
a new pattern of Light and know this Divine Self. (Notice the
capitalized L in Light and S in Self—this indicates a grander part
of you). The guided meditation helps to clear away any emotional
debris that blocks the doorway to spiritual freedom. Spiritual
freedom is feeling less burdened by emotional debris.
The
God energy or as some term it 'Absolute' energy wants everyone to be
happy. Old dogma taught us how to
suffer. Some of us learned very well how to suffer and have become masters
at it. It’s now time to move on.
The
God energy is very neutral. There is no ‘maybe’ in the Absolute
energy. The question is a very direct—Yes or No. Let me ask you,
want to become a Spiritual Master and become enlightened?
Becoming a practical Master is a process in today’s world. Because
we have so many distractions that tend to pull us away from our
Divine Self. I use
the word ‘practical’ in front of mastery because it does not serve
us to become enlightened and live in a cave and away from people.
Once we experience enlightenment, which again is process. It's
not like a light switch --turn it on and turn if off.
Once is the state of enlightenment it’s time to share the sweet nectar
of love and spread it, like jam, to all
people you meet?
You
learned above that enlightenment is allowing the light in by
releasing fear, anger, and denial to clear yourself for more
Light to shine through. Once this is done we become less
triggered and hurt, more in line to purpose and honor all aspects
of the Self. We learn to ask more questions of our selves and not
give our power away to others. We take time to feel.
The
physical body is created to house the Divine Self (spirit).
However, it vibrates at such a dense frequency it’s difficult to
sustain any glimpses of spiritual freedom we might have.
I’m
certain that most of you reading this information have already
experienced at least one spiritual opening. Call it coincidence,
déjà vu, a fleeting moment of blending with every thing in the
environment or that cosmic ‘ah-ha’ moments in life that open up
the pathways between the mind and the spirit. Although we may have
an occasional experience the pattern slips away. Most times we
revert back to our regular core belief patterns of fear, lack,
competition, unworthiness and resistance, etc and we become
ungrounded and unhappy again. Many of the people who have come to
me for healing and private sessions ask, “How do I incorporate
spirituality into my daily life and use it?” This
program is designed to assist in that way.
To
purify the body temple we must address the:
-
Foods we eat
-
Feelings we
feel
-
Thoughts we
think
In
part one we begin with the physical body and the foods we eat.
Raising the pitch in the physical body is our first step.
Lightening up on the foods eaten includes examining what you
eat, when and where you eat, along with what you drink and an
exercise program. We want to raise the vibrational frequency in the
physical body to sustain a new pattern of energy.
Summer
is an excellent time to reduce your food load and eat more locally
grown vegetables and fruits. When we lighten up on food we
naturally detoxify the system. Cleansing is a necessary factor in
sustaining a higher vibration in the body. Now is a good time to
cleanse. Never cleanse an organ without doing the bowels first.
If you have not cleansed your bowels in the last six months then
redo them and proceed to your liver/gall bladder and
kidney/bladder.
Daily:
Green
drinks at least 2 x per day. (Wheat grass, green magma or another
brand of green drink) and drink slowly.
-
Drink only purified water
-
Eat one organic apple a day
-
Exercise
-
Eat fiber
-
B-complex (Source Naturals-Coenzymate)
-
Meditate or create quiet time to reflect on your day and life. This
can be walking, swimming or just resting.
-
Ingest liquid minerals unless you grow you own food in good organic
soil.
Always:
-
Eat as organic as possible. Especially in the summer eat as local as
possible. Never purchase foods from out of the country no matter
if they are organic or not.
-
If you eat meat purchase without chemicals or addictives.
-
Use skin care, shampoos, hair color and conditioners with no
propylparabens or propylene glycol.
-
If you are addicted to a certain food begin to withdraw from that
food. For example,
every evening you eat ice cream. I do not
recommend cold-turkey on any addiction but start to reduce the
food day-by-day.
-
Addicted to a substance? Also begin to withdraw yourself from that
substance.
-
Eat only when you are hungry and without stress.
Make a
commitment to yourself now to make some changes this month in the way you feed
your temple. Think of it as a lifestyle change rather than a
diet. This process lightens up the stress on the cells and it’s
easier to release emotions when the body is strong and healthy.
